It's crazy how the pregnancy went so so slow! It felt like an eternity. And now that Lyla is born I can't believe it has actually been 5 months. It feels like yesterday So just wanted to show a couple pictures to show you my progress and my journey. First picture is me 2 weeks before I gave birth, I know I was extremely huge! Pretty embarrasing picture. Pic 2 is 1 month later, still sore from C-section. Pic 3 Two and half months postpartum. Pic 4 Today at 5 months, I am at least 6 pounds lighter from pic 3 to pic 4. Pic 5 is today doing a pistol. Have to admit I did not train at all for the pistols. If I wanted to be able to do more than one I would need to start training. So I guess my body just remembers after not doing them for a year.

I can't imagine how tough it must be juggling 3 kids and trying to stick to a very healthy nutrition program. You have to worry about feeding 3 little mouths. I know it would take some serious planning on your part to follow a clean diet. Thank you for the compliment, but having only 1 kid gives me a little more time to plan my meals. Also, this is what I do for a living so I have a bit of an edge!
I know you can do it though! I saw some of your workouts in your blog and it shows you have the motivation and the determination!
Take care 8-)

How do you think your training helped with your c-section recovery?
I think I've mentioned before that I might have some surgery coming up this next year and my main concern is recovery time. Having to take time off from training is going to be difficult mentally.
If it weren't for the type of training that we do, I don't think I would have recovered as fast as I did. I would have to say, it is a huge challenge to face to not be able to move around and workout. Although taking time off training is difficult, I feel it was nice to relax my body, to come back refreshed and even more motivated.
I am not sure I remember you mentioning that you were going to have surgery. If so, how long did the docs say you will be out for? Walking became my best friend until I was given the "okay" to do more. Hopefully you will be fine with just doing walking as well.
Oh and thank you!
Walking definitely is awesome if you choose the right places and have some good music. Those 2 months should hopefully fly by for you!
Franz,
Thank you very much!
:)
i felt I had no choice but to prove to myself that I could do it. Along the way I met many mom's who would complain and say your body will never be the same after being pregnant. bla bla bla. It was definitely a fear that I had, since I have never been through this before.
I just hope I have the same determination for when it's time to do this a second time around! I'm so glad this is able to inspire people and take the fear out of becoming pregnant. Thanks again!!
I appreciate the support. Sounds like you are on the right path with your nutrition and kettlebells. Losing 40 pounds in 3 months is a wonderful achievement!
You are very welcome for posting the pics! There is a sample nutrition program that I typically use for myself. Under this link http://www.ontheedgefitness.com/articles.html If you click on the article I wrote "How to begin a Fat Loss Regime" it's shows the basic program I follow. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any question.
Having the 1-2 scoops of protein with your first meal is just a suggestion. As stated in the article it is an exchange program. Meaning it could be exchanged with egg whites, grilled chicken, or some type of protein. I feel it's important to have a protein along with your complex carb in the morning to be a balanced meal.
This sample program is only a suggestion and may not be for everyone. I provided it as a guide for people to follow if they choose. If what you are doing is not currently working for you, then feel free to try a different approach such as the program I posted. Everyone is different and some people don't even eat breakfast.
Hope this helps!
