Now I'm ready to get into a strength building regiment. Again start with small weights and build from there. But would still continue with running, spin class and such. Lifting weights is a solid sense of accomplishment. Look I just did 10 reps of 50 lbs. Plus, I think...#5 and #13 really resound with me. <br /><br />Plus, I think heavy lifting regularly puts you in a place where you can fail safely doing something "dangerous". What I mean by this is that, whenever I am back squatting heavy, to depth, and every time as I go down, there is that slight moment of panic, and then that feeling of elation as I get out of the squat. But if I don't get out of the squat and have to ditch, and I come out the other side alive, I learn how to get back up and try again, and that failure is not fatal.
